The roots of the Romani language being ancient Punjabi and originating from the modern Indian state of Rajasthan.</p>
<p><em>Latcho Drom</em> follows <em>Les Princes</em> (1983) and precedes <em>Gadjo Dilo</em> (1997).</p>
